Good morning, Hopkinton!

For those new to the site, this post is a daily update we call Hopkinton Today. We’ll have a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights for the coming day and a video or two to brighten your day.

While the state’s death total from COVID-19 surpassed 4,000, in Hopkinton the weekend metrics showed nine deaths and 101 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Because the town recycling center remains closed to the public, EL Harvey is allowing residents to place additional recycling material at the curb for pickup. It must be in a sturdy bin — clearly marked “recycling” — that can be grabbed and lifted by the truck’s mechanical arm. Click here to see what types of containers are acceptable.

Hopkinton brothers Aarav and Arjun Mehta have started a charity called ARM in ARM with a goal of distributing athletic gear to children in countries around the world.
