Hopkinton Today: Monday, Nov. 20

by | Nov 20, 2023 | Featured: Features, Hopkinton Today

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

Reflecting on a positive Town Meeting vote to approve a proposed new Elmwood School, School Committee chair Nancy Cavanaugh described herself as “very thrilled” by the results. But she reminded residents that a majority vote will be needed at the Nov. 28 election to approve funding.

The Open Space Preservation Commission at its meeting Thursday night unanimously approved a resident’s request to build boardwalks on open space property that abuts his home.

The Hopkinton High School girls football game was played Friday night, with the juniors defeating the seniors. We have photos.

Town meetings tonight include the Affordable Housing Trust Fund Board (6).

Photo of the Day: Work continues on the new building at 17 Main Street.
