Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.
The School Committee on Thursday approved changes to the middle school and high school student handbooks involving cell phones, hoods and hats and personal searches, among other things.
Work on the Main Street Corridor Project continues this week — although there will be no work Monday due to the Labor Day holiday — with the focus being to continue the service connections project wide and continue sidewalk installation on the project’s west side, the town announced. Pleasant Street and Elm Street detours will be used as needed.
Our latest Business Profile highlights the Hopkinton Center for the Arts, which is coming off its “biggest summer ever,” says executive director Kelly Grill, an encouraging development as the organization emerges from the challenges of the pandemic.
