Hopkinton Today: Thursday, Dec. 21

by | Dec 21, 2023 | Featured: Features,

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

The Select Board at its meeting Tuesday night heard several options for the future repurposing of four key town-owned properties — Center School, the current Elmwood School building, Town Hall and the town’s Fruit Street property.

At its Tuesday meeting, the Community Preservation Committee expressed a desire to meet with outgoing Town Manager Norman Khumalo for updates on a variety of issues and questioned how it should proceed with planning for the Upper Charles Trail while the town’s Upper Charles Trail Committee is suspended.

This week’s Police Log includes three arrests along with reports of a stove fire, a jogger elbowing a hunter, and damage from Monday’s storm.

Town meetings tonight include the School Committee (7).
