In a special meeting of the School Committee on Tuesday night, members Joe Markey and Meg Tyler were cleared of an allegation brought forth at the Feb. 3 meeting that they violated open meeting law by holding a Zoom meeting on Jan. 30 regarding the district’s mask policy with a resident who is considering running for the committee.
Hopkinton’s Sean Farrell and the U.S. hockey team’s memorable run in the Beijing Olympics came to an end Wednesday with a heartbreaking shootout loss to Slovakia in the quarterfinal round.
This week’s edition of the Police Log includes reports of a turkey carcass on Cross Street, a vehicle striking a deer on Granite Street, and a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident on Legacy Farms North.
The Friends of Hopkinton and the Hopkinton Lions Club invite all residents to the first Family Fling, to be held on the Town Common on Saturday, March 26, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Activities will include a scavenger hunt, football toss, corn hole, hula hoops, bubbles and much more.
Town meetings tonight include the Sandy Beach Ad Hoc Committee (5) and School Committee (7).
