Hopkinton Today: Thursday, June 1

by | Jun 1, 2023 | Featured: Features,

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

Hopkinton High School sophomore Dylan Striek and juniors Rylee Blair and Disha Mudenur placed first and additionally won a special prize for their environmentally themed project at the state’s Science Fair on May 5.

The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association released information on the remaining state tournaments on Wednesday, with Hopkinton High School’s baseball and boys and girls lacrosse teams earning spots.

This week’s Police Log includes reports of a stolen rent check, a transformer explosion and people getting locked inside Hopkinton State Park.

Our latest Business Profile highlights Zeta Fencing, where benefits of the sport include fitness and agility — both physical and mental — as well as camaraderie and fun.

Town meetings tonight include the Open Space Preservation Commission (7).

Photo of the Day: Flowers add a touch of color to the Town Common.
