by | Jun 29, 2023 | Featured: Features,

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

The Elementary School Building Committee on Tuesday voted to use a design-bid-build delivery method for its proposed new Elmwood School replacement project.

The Conservation Commission at its Tuesday night meeting continued a hearing on a request to move a gas line that previously prompted neighborhood concerns at the Mass. Laborers Training facility.

The Parks & Recreation Commission at its meeting Tuesday evening discussed progress on several pending projects, including the resurfacing of the public cricket pitch at the Fruit Street fields, the anticipated construction time frame on the new cricket pitch at Pyne Field, and the skate park at EMC Park.

This week’s Police Log includes one arrest along with reports of youths misbehaving in the library, a breaking and entering on Overlook Drive, and an allegedly aggressive postal worker.

Photo of the Day: This winner of this week’s Hopkinton Independent/Bill’s Pizzeria photo contest is Corey Macdonald for this photo of a rainbow over Sandy Beach.
