Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a video or two to brighten your morning.

The Conservation Commission debated a number of projects during a lengthy meeting on Tuesday night. Six house lots that are part of the Chamberlain Street/Whalen Road project were approved pending slight modifications to the plans.

The Select Board scheduled an extra meeting this Friday at noon in order to approve the hiring of a new police officer. Kevin Sager, who previously served as a police sergeant in South Portland, Maine, is set to become the newest officer in town.

This week’s Police Log includes one arrest and items on students being left at Marathon School on an early release day, an individual making noise while working out at 2 a.m., and erratic drivers.
