Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.
The Hopkinton Police Department’s Hopkinton Night Out, originally scheduled for tonight but postponed due to the rain, has been rescheduled to Tuesday, Sept. 28. The popular event is designed to bring people together to help build police and community partnerships as well as have fun.
This week’s edition of the Police Log includes two arrests along with reports of a person dressed as Freddy Krueger waving a chainsaw at passing cars, a driver blocked in his driveway by a paving crew, and a car hitting a telephone pole.
Sticking with today’s police theme, the HPD is sponsoring a free Rape Aggression Defense Systems Training class for females ages 14 and up on five Mondays, starting Sept. 27. The program teaches and emphasizes awareness, avoidance and physical self defense.
Town meetings tonight include the Hopkinton Historic District Commission (7).
