Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.
The 128th Boston Marathon, which marks the 100th anniversary of the race’s start in Hopkinton, got off to a successful start Monday, as about 30,000 athletes began the annual trek to Boston in near-perfect weather.
Hopkinton High School’s boys lacrosse program has enjoyed increasing success over the past couple of seasons, despite having a relatively young team. This year, coach Dan Norton’s squad is still young in spots but has a quartet of experienced senior captains leading the way.
This week’s Real Estate Transactions list shows two sales, including a house on Greenwood Road that sold for $1.65 million.
The Knights of Columbus is hosting a fundraising event for adults (18 and up) called A Nite at the Races on Saturday, May 4, at 7 p.m. at St. John’s Parish Hall.
