Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

The 127th Boston Marathon got off to a wet but clean start in Hopkinton on Monday morning, with some 30,000 athletes taking part, and we have photos.

Hopkinton resident Mark Valutkevich and his former longtime neighbor, Jim Coffey, recently completed all six races in the Abbott World Marathon Majors, joining some select company.

Twenty-two students from Hopkinton High School’s Business Professionals of America club qualified at a state event to attend the National Leadership Conference on April 26-30 in Anaheim, California.

This week’s Library Corner includes information on a Card-Making Crafternoon, a program to write letters to troops, and a session to make items to pamper pets.
