Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

Town Manager Elaine Lazarus announced Monday afternoon that six of the 12 transformers needed to complete the underground installation of electrical wires for the Main Street Corridor Project will be arriving this week from Eversource.

Horticulturalist and longtime Hopkinton resident Wayne Mezitt, who expanded Weston Nurseries and introduced hybrid species of plants to the region, died on July 18, his son Peter Mezitt announced Saturday.

This week’s Real Estate Transactions includes four sales, with two at $900,000 and one at $1.4 million.

Town meetings tonight include the Board of Assessors (5:30), Parks & Recreation Commission (5:30) and Adaptive Playground Committee (6).
