Good morning, Hopkinton!
For those new to the site, this post is a daily update we call Hopkinton Today. We’ll have a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights for the coming day and a video or two to brighten your day.
The governor’s order requiring face masks or cloth face coverings in public places where social distancing is not possible goes into effect tomorrow, so hopefully by now you have something you can wear over your mouth and nose.
The Select Board meets tonight (6:30). You can participate via Zoom or watch on HCAM.
The Hopkinton Garden Club’s annual plant sale has been canceled this year. The event traditionally is held the Saturday before Mother’s Day.
Local animal rescue organizations are keeping busy during the pandemic, even though shelters are closed to the public. There still are pets who need permanent or foster homes, so Greyhound Friends, Baypath Humane Society and Brown Dog Coalition — all based in Hopkinton — are doing what they can.
Video of the Day: The gang from Dude Perfect takes on quarantine stereotypes.
Music Video of the Day: Here’s Boston with “Don’t Look Back.” Enjoy.
