Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

What began as a midyear performance review of Hopkinton Police Department Chief Joseph Bennett at Tuesday’s Select Board meeting exploded into revelations by chair Muriel Kramer that she lacked confidence in Bennett’s leadership abilities back when the Select Board voted to renew his three-year contract in 2022.

The Commission on Disability at its meeting Monday night learned important tools for website accessibility from commissioner and Select Board member Amy Ritterbusch.

This week’s Move In Style Athlete Spotlight shines on boys hockey captain Wyatt Iantosca, who helped the Hillers win the Tri-Valley League Large School Division.

The Hopkinton Parks & Recreation Department, in collaboration with the Friends of Hopkinton Skate Park and the Hopkinton Freedom Team, is hosting a free Skateboard/BMX Jam at the Hopkinton Middle School outdoor basketball courts on Sunday, March 10, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Registration is underway for the sixth annual Mary Korbey 3v3 Basketball Tournament, which will be held Sunday, March 17, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at Hopkinton High School and Hopkinton Middle School.

Town meetings tonight include the Board of Appeals (7).
