Hopkinton Today: Wednesday, June 19

by | Jun 19, 2024 | Featured: Features, Hopkinton Today

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

Hopkinton Police Chief Joseph Bennett announced late Tuesday night that the Police Department was investigating an incident that took place Tuesday afternoon at the Town Common, where two women allegedly offered a ride to a youngster who did not know them.

The Elementary School Building Committee on Tuesday authorized representatives from Samiotes Consultants and LEC to submit reports to the town’s Planning Board and Conservation Commission on its behalf by week’s end.

This week’s Move In Style Athlete Spotlight shines on boys volleyball player Chancard Cammisa, who “brought something to the team which is not coachable — a positive attitude and leadership.”

The fifth annual Dick Bliss Open, benefiting the Hopkinton High School boys and girls golf teams, will be held at Hopkinton Country Club on Monday, Aug. 5, starting at 11 a.m.

Town meetings tonight include the Trails Committee (7:30).
