Even though Kate Powers came up a bit short in bids to score points at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships and in the Olympic qualifying meet, the experience gave her a clear picture of what she needs to do to compete at the highest level.
Health Director Shaun McAuliffe reviewed his goals for fiscal year 2025 with the Board of Health on Monday night. Toward the top of the Health Department’s priorities in the coming year is action on tobacco use in town. In particular, McAuliffe is focusing on the use of nicotine products by teenagers and younger children.
Our final Move In Style Athlete Spotlight of the 2023-24 season is girls track athlete Bethel Flanagan, a “consistent top point-scorer with great range.”
