Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.
There was a strong turnout at the polls at Hopkinton Middle School’s Brown Gym for Tuesday’s election. A total of 7,821 residents cast ballots (including early and absentee voting). Among the winners was James Arena-DeRosa in the race for state representative.
The Planning Board at its meeting Monday night reviewed a couple of relatively unusual cases regarding subdivision plans, including one on Box Mill Road, off Leonard Street.
The Art of Conversation Sustainability Summit on Thursday, Nov. 17, at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts is hoping to foster conversation, spark ideas and generate excitement on the topic.
Leading off Business Briefs, Baypath Humane Society of Hopkinton announced a new partnership with the Banfield Foundation that includes a $5,014 grant to support a new medical program, the Baypath in-house diagnostic kit.
Town meetings tonight include the Sustainable Green Committee (5), Parks & Recreation Commission (5:30), Board of Assessors (5:30), Hopkinton Housing Authority (6) and Board of Appeals (7).
