The Massachusetts Department of Transportation announced that the Interstate 495 southbound on-ramp (Exit 106) in Hopkinton from I-90 eastbound and westbound will be closed during overnight hours from Tuesday, July 30, through the morning of Friday, Aug. 2. The closures will be in effect each night from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. to accommodate construction operations.
During the work, when the I-495 southbound on-ramp from I-90 eastbound and westbound are closed, traffic will be directed to follow the detour signs and use I-495 northbound to exit 59B (Route 9 westbound), to reverse direction back to I-495 southbound.
Appropriate signage, law enforcement details and messaging will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.
Drivers traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
All scheduled work is weather dependent and might be impacted due to an emergency.
