Kristen “Misting Waters” (Yanski) Webb, 51, of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, died July 28 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of Thomas Webb, whom she married Aug. 23, 2008. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of Sheila (Miskiawick-Yanski) Robeau and Joseph Robeau of Blackstone.
Kristen was a beloved and integral part of the Hopkinton Public Library, where she had been the assistant children’s librarian since 2017, starting off as part-time and working her way toward full-time. Kristen was passionate about reading and encouraging others to read.
Along with her husband and parents, she is survived by her three sons, Nick Yanski and partner Samantha Lemoine, Brett Yanski and Cyle Yanski, all of Woonsocket; two granddaughters, Isis and Madilynne Yanski; her brother, Eric Robeau and wife Christine of Blackstone; and her sister, Tracie Pye of Bellingham. She also is survived multiple nieces and nephews and countless friends and other family members.
Her funeral was held Aug. 3 in the Holt Funeral Home, Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kristen’s name may be made to the Association on American Indian Affairs at indian-affairs.org, to Ferst Readers at ferstreaders.org, or to your local public library.
