In a recent survey as reported in Boston magazine, “Boston is coming in nearly last in green space for a city that hosts the Boston Marathon and has been called the country’s best running city.”
Hopkinton is known as a running town, so why not create green space downtown behind Center School. It could be called Starting Line Park! As a town, we could partner with the Boston Athletic Association to create such a park.
We need more downtown green space and all its inherent environmental benefits.
It’s worth considering a park behind Center School as opposed to more housing, which would create more downtown congestion and other negative environmental effects.
— Beth and Rick Kelly, Hopkinton

Lets turn Hopkinton Sportsman Association into a green space. Oh how I’d miss the constant sound of gun shots.
