Letter to the Editor: Mannan for Select Board

by | May 13, 2022 | Letter to Editor

I challenge anyone who meets Shahidul Mannan to not be inspired by his positivity, professionalism and unyielding public service.

For nearly a decade, Shahidul has dutifully and intelligently served our community on critical boards and committees (namely, the Planning Board, the Appropriation Committee, the Community Preservation Committee and the Growth Study Committee). These government boards don’t get due attention for their importance but matter profoundly for the pressing issues facing Hopkinton in the years to come.

In his impressive public service, Shahidul has gifted to our town his tremendous background and expertise in finance, and he has done all this without fanfare, without grandstanding and without pretense.

I cannot wait to see Shahidul apply his immense professional skills, as well as his vast knowledge of our community and the inner workings of our town government, to his work on the Select Board.

What is more is that Shahidul is a man of unwavering integrity and kindness. He embodies gravitas.  He instills confidence in all who meet him. Simply put, Shahidul would be an extraordinary addition to our Select Board.

Please join me on Monday and cast your vote for Shahidul Mannan.

— Elizabeth Farry, Hopkinton

Letter to the Editor: Herbicides in lake wrong ‘solution’

Letter to the Editor: HPD letter misses point

We are tired. We are beyond tired of the smoke, the mirrors and the carefully lawyered letters that lecture us about statutes while refusing to answer why the Hopkinton Police Department stayed silent when they had a duty to voice concerns about a convicted...
