December StoryWalk
Starts Dec. 8
Stop by the library anytime to visit the outdoor StoryWalk. It will remain displayed through December as long as the materials last the weather. The StoryWalk is located on the back wall of the library (adjacent to the parking lot). The featured story is: “While We Can’t Hug” by Eoin McLaughlin. The StoryWalk Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont, and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.

Teen Fortnite Tournament for Grades 6-12 (Virtual)
Friday, Dec. 11, 3-5 p.m.
One Up Games again will host a video game tournament, this time virtual. Anyone interested should carefully read the tech requirements before registering on the library’s website calendar.

‘Take & Make’ Preschool Story Time (Virtual)
Wednesday, Dec. 16
This program, an online story time for ages 3-5, will include 1-2 stories, songs and rhymes and an activity to try at home. The story time will be available starting at 9 a.m. on Dec. 16. December’s theme is winter. Check the library’s website calendar for important information and signup dates.

Smart Holiday Treats Workshop (Zoom)
Wednesday, Dec. 16, 7 p.m.
Looking for some new holiday dessert recipes that are not filled with processed ingredients? Cook some seasonal desserts that are actually good for you. Join Nancy Wind to explore some superfoods and learn a little about Ayurveda. Register on the library’s website calendar.

Chat ’n’ Chew Lunchtime Book Group (Virtual)
Wednesday, Dec. 16, 12:30-1:30 p.m.
Instead of assigning a book for all participants to read, each person reviews something they read during the month. Register on the library’s website calendar.

Friends of Hopkinton Library Annual Meeting (Zoom)
Wednesday, Jan. 6, 6:30 p.m.
All members are invited to attend. The agenda will include the election of officers, approval of the dues structure, and affirmation of regular business. The annual meeting will be followed by the January board meeting. Anyone interested in attending should email Beth Mezitt at bethm@westonnurseries.com to get on the list for the Zoom link.
