ALL AGES PROGRAMS

Off-Site Program: Audiobook Walking Club
Saturday, June 13, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

This off-site program will take place at Hughes and Echo Loop. Participants are invited to walk in a group setting while listening to an audiobook. There will be two walking groups to accommodate different walking speeds. Participants are encouraged to bring water, and snacks will be provided at the midpoint. In the event of extreme weather, the program will be canceled, but it will proceed if there is light rain. Registration is not required but encouraged so those interested can receive weather updates. This program is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Milford Upper Charles Trail and the Hopkinton Trails Club.

ADULT PROGRAMS

Artificial Intelligence Crash-Course
Friday, June 5, 11 a.m.-noon

The library will give a presentation about the basics of what to know when interacting with AI models and tools. The program will cover terminology, how AI works, tasks that AI can perform and things to keep in mind while using these tools. No prior experience with AI is necessary, and no AI will be used during the presentation. Following the presentation, participants can ask questions and engage in discussion. Registration is optional.

250th CreatorSpace Workshop: Pressed Flowers
Tuesday, June 9, 6-7 p.m.
Crafters will learn about the art of pressing flowers and the language of flowers in this workshop offered as part of the library’s celebration of the United States’ 250th anniversary. Guests can bring their own flowers to press but are encouraged to bring smaller flowers that will flatten easily. This program is for ages 12 and up and does not require a signed CreatorSpace waiver, though signing one is encouraged.

Apocalyptic Mayhem, Lava-Spitting Llamas and One Very Sassy Cat
Thursday, June 11, 7-8 p.m.
In this virtual presentation, New York Times bestselling author Matt Dinniman will discuss his latest book, “A Parade of Horribles,” from his popular “Dungeon Crawler Carl” series.

CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS

Final Exams Study Hall
June 9-12 and June 15-17, 2-7:30 p.m.

The library will provide extra study space and free snacks for students during finals.

SCHEDULE UPDATES

The library will be closed June 19-20 in observance of Juneteenth.

The library no longer will be open on Sundays, in accordance with its summer schedule.
