The Hopkinton Public Library announced Tuesday evening that due to a spike in COVID-19 cases in town and regionally, it will close to the public as of 4 p.m. on Thursday. Library services will be available on a remote/curbside-only basis starting Friday. The building will remain closed to the public until at least Friday, Jan. 22.

Walk-in hours this week before the building closure goes into effect are 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m on Wednesday and 1-4 p.m. on Thursday.

The library’s curbside/remote service hours will continue to be 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Library staff will continue to be available to assist patrons by phone, e-mail and online chat during these hours.

Pickup times should be scheduled in advance by calling the library or using the Schedule Curbside Pickup link under the eServices menu on the right-hand side of the library website, hopkintonlibrary.org.

Anyone interested in checking out library materials but without specific titles in mind is encouraged to use the Quick Picks service. Links to the Quick Picks forms are under the eServices menu on the right-hand side of the library website.
