Main Street Corridor Project update: Detours possible this week

by | Aug 7, 2022 | News

As part of the Main Street Corridor Project this week, there will be work on Verizon and Comcast duct banks on Grove Street and Cedar Street, and detours will be utilized as needed.

Additionally, workers will continue the service connections project-wide, complete the traffic signal at the Wood Street intersection with Main Street, install new granite curbs on Main Street moving east from the Wood Street intersection to the Fire Station, and fine grade and compact sidewalks between Wood Street and the Fire Station — which also may require detours.

The contractor plans on starting the full-depth excavation at the Route 135/Route 85 intersection on Aug. 15.

This schedule may change due to weather and existing conditions found while performing the planned tasks. For the most up-to-date information, visit the town’s project website at hopkintonmainstreet.com.
