Main Street Corridor Project update: Paving delayed to next week due to weather

by | Nov 10, 2025 | Featured: News, News

In a construction advisory released Monday, the town notified residents that paving as part of the Main Street Corridor Project has been delayed until next week.

A.F. Amorello & Sons initially scheduled tentative dates for final paving of the west side of the project for Wednesday and Thursday this week. Because of weather, the timeline has been extended, with work potentially to begin next Monday.

Paving limits extend from the Fire Station to just past the Wood Street intersection. Work may impact traffic and require lane and sidewalk closures along with potential detours. Per town policy, lane closures are limited to 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Alternating traffic will be used downtown between 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Delays are expected and detours will be needed.

No work is scheduled for Tuesday in observance of the Veterans Day holiday.

Weather and other existing conditions may change the projected work schedule. For the most up-to-date information, visit the town’s project website at hopkintonmainstreet.com.
