Main Street Corridor Project update: Subdrain work continues

by | Jul 17, 2026 | News

A.F. Amorello & Sons will be back next week to continue installing a subdrain, according to the latest Main Street Corridor Project update.

The subdrain is being installed on the north side of Main Street between the driveway of 7 Main Street (east of the library) and 43 Main Street (Muffin House). Sidewalk traffic will be detoured around the work zone.

Work is expected to take a week and a half to complete. The project was initiated to address a drainage issue in the area.

Amorello also will be on-site next week for small repairs and other punch list items.

Weather and other existing conditions may change the projected work schedule. Detours or alternating traffic will be used as needed for project work. For the most up-to-date information, visit the town’s project website at hopkintonmainstreet.com.
