Main Street Corridor Project update: Utility work continues

by | Nov 22, 2024 | News

The town’s latest Main Street Corridor Project update released Friday shared that utility work will continue over the next two weeks, with the exception of Nov. 28-29 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Eversource will be on-site to work on underground services during the upcoming week. Outdoor light work will be performed at 77 Main Street.

Utility companies will be on-site during the first week of December, with Dagle Electric to begin service cut-overs on Thursday, Dec. 5. Affected abutters will be notified via email.

The town continues to await the schedule from Verizon to complete overhead utility transfers on the west side of the project.

This schedule may change due to weather and existing conditions found while performing these tasks. This work may impact traffic and require lane and sidewalk closures, limiting access to driveways and entrances to businesses. Detours and alternating traffic patterns may be used as necessary.
