The Hopkinton Fire Department was among the first responders to a multiple-vehicle accident on Interstate 495 South just past the MassPike exit Friday morning.
The HFD first tweeted around 7:30 a.m. about the accident, which drew a response from emergency crews from Hopkinton, Westborough and Southborough.
The Westborough Fire Department tweeted that there were injuries, and drivers should “expect heavy delays.”
Wsstborough Fire also reported that Massachusetts State Police requested emergency personnel for a medical incident that occurred on I-495 South just north of the original accident.
