Meet and greet with town manager finalists Thursday night

by | Jun 16, 2024 | News

The town announced that a meet and greet session will be held this Thursday, June 20, to offer Hopkinton residents and employees the opportunity to interact with the finalists for the position of Hopkinton’s next town manager. The event will take place from 6-8 p.m. at the Hopkinton Public Library.

“We are very interested in having community members engage with the town manager finalists,” Select Board chair Brian Herr stated (via a town press release). “We value the input of all of our residents and employees in the town manager selection process.”

The finalists that are brought forward to the Select Board were selected by a Town Manager Screening Committee with a resident, two members of the Personnel Board, one member of the Select Board, the schools superintendent and the Human Resources director. The town contracted with the consulting firm Community Paradigm Associates to recruit candidates and manage the search process. The Select Board was to receive the names of the town manager finalists on June 13 following the completion of reference reviews by Community Paradigm.

The town manager finalists will be available for approximately two hours during the meet and greet session to meet residents and employees and answer questions about themselves and their experience.
