Inclement weather forecast for Monday has pushed the town’s Memorial Day events inside.

Mike Whalen, chair of the Veterans Celebration Committee, informed the Independent Monday morning that all Memorial Day events will move into the parish center at St. John the Evangelist Church. The march through the town cemeteries has been canceled.

The morning’s events at the parish center will kick off at 11 a.m.

Monday’s forecast called for showers through the morning and fog, with the potential for a thunderstorm to develop, according to the National Weather Service.
