Heading into Wednesday’s Division 2 state semifinals, Walls was hitting .463 with 22 RBI, seven doubles and four home runs, including a grand slam in the Hillers’ quarterfinal win over Westwood. On the mound, she was 19-0 in 20 starts with a 1.56 ERA and .181 opposition batting average, compiling 200 strikeouts in 126 innings. “Addy has been our rock on the mound this year,” coach Shannon Allberry-Yerardi noted. “She’s confident and composed in high-intensity moments. She’s a great teammate who truly values and celebrates the successes of her teammates both on and off the field.”
