After spending the 2025 season with the junior varsity, MacLennan “played a ton of golf and has really come into his own,” according to coach Bill Phaneuf. MacLennan shined in tryouts and earned a starting spot in the team’s opening match. He responded by shooting a 40, tying for the day’s second-best score. He duplicated the feat the following match, then recorded a first-place finish with a 38 in a win over Medfield on Sept. 8. Having settled into the No. 3 spot (behind to two seniors), MacLennan played and counted in every match as the Hillers started out 5-1. “I expect he will have a few medalist honors this year and be a very integral part of our team’s success,” Phaneuf stated. “He has a great swing and all-around solid game. I am looking forward to seeing what he is capable of over the next few years.”
