Parson remains assistant superintendent after vying for post in Wayland

by | Feb 1, 2021 | Education

The Wayland School Committee announced Friday that it selected former Everett school administrator and onetime professional football player Omar Easy to be its next superintendent. Hopkinton assistant superintendent Jennifer Parson had been a finalist for the position.

Parson has been Hopkinton’s assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction since 2018, following Carol Cavanaugh’s promotion to superintendent. Parson previously was principal of Center School from 2004-11, then left to become principal of an elementary school in Northborough. She also has experience as an assistant principal in Sudbury and as an elementary school teacher in Natick.
