We are past standing in the streets holding signs. We all need to collectively quite our jobs, stop spending money, and crush corporate America. Not for one day.. Until it changes. All politicians have a base pay of the federal minimum wage, $7.25/hr. A minimum of 10 years in Federal prison for politicians taking kickbacks to vote in a companies favor.. Etc. Yes, it will be uncomfortable but necessary. Yes, Trump needs to go, but Trump is just the cherry on the cake. This has been a slow moving coup for DECADES. We need to break the wheel. Essentially do what our ancestors did, and build a better, more sustainable future not only for us but for this planet and every other living being. The most valuable key to massive change is to change the part we are all playing. “Everyone wants to change the world but nobody wants to change themselves.” We can’t rip it down, change nothing in our daily lives but expect a different result. That’s the definition of insanity.
Brain washing starts at home. It’s wonderful that our young children are learning from their parents how to be disrespectful and bullying toward other humans. Protesting is not an activity that young children should be involved in on either side.
Respectfully, the protestors were not disrespectful or bullying, instead we were peacefully protesting with words and images and songs and cheers ( decrying bullying and unconstitutional behavior). We did not zip tie children in the street as they watched their parents get dragged from their homes,
that is what they should never have to see or experience.
I totally agree with India.
This comment is a perfect example of the pot calling the kettle black.
Republicans are the kings of brainwashing!
Republicans love telling their children what to think and not how to form their own opinions.
Protesting is a peaceful and constructive way to express disagreement.
Protesting is as American as apple pie, medical debt and no separation of church and state.
I hope more children attend the next No Kings protest with their families! That will give me hope for the future!
I was extremely impressed with turn out. Some came from other towns to join us. It was a fantastic, peaceful crowd . I was very proud to be part of it.
I thought the left was hyper focused on Environmental issues? How many trees did you kill to make those signs?
Oh well, at least it was an effective use and we still do not have a king. Good work folks.
Woke up the next day and bingo, no king. Must have worked.
The next time a party chooses a presidential candidate behind closed doors without holding a primary, start a no kings protest.
The next time politicians try to force medical decisions on you without giving you freedom of choice, or fire you from your job, start a no kings protest.
The next time the powers that be ban accounts on social media or call dissenting opinion misinformation to control the narrative, start a no kings protest.
The next time the incumbent administration tries to take an opposing candidate off the ballot, start a no kings protest.
Afterall, you wouldn’t want to be known as a hypocrite or fraud would you.
Brad, you could not be more correct!! The hypocrisy on the left grows by the day. How quickly we forget the right to the democratic process and right to vote was taken out of the hands of voters and decided for us. This is the ultimate KING action! How did that work by the way? Democrats got an unqualified candidate with no shot of winning put in front of them. I’m a very middle independent but what I see is hypocrisy on the left growing daily and unfortunately the hill of issues they are dying on doesn’t seem to be the priority with voters. And let’s give credit where it’s due, Trump has economy in a much better spot than Biden and the cease fire in Gaza was once thought impossible. The left needs to be more objective.
No one believes you are an independent voter with comments like these.
– Agreed, I wish there was a primary, but I will take an emergency substitution over an attempted coupt or systematic gerrymandering.
– It is fair to not like the former Vice President. It is preposterous to say a former vice president is unqualified.
– The US economy is not doing well. Inflation is not down. Consumers are paying 15-50% taxes on imported good we cannot make domestically. Job statistics were so bad Trump fired the BLS chief for reporting them. AI is caused white collar layoffs and 70% of the DOW is tied up in 10 companies whose prospects are owed to their bubble-like investment in AI… read: greater unemployment.
– Biden also negotiated a cease fire. That is the easy part. Talk to use in a year or more before you claim your peace prize.
I dont know where you get your news but I can venture a guess. Investments are incredibly solid right now and the tariffs are necessary because the trade climate with China has simply been unfair for the US for an extended period. Like you said let’s give it time. Yes Biden negotiated a cease fire after Trump was elected and about to take office. And As a matter of fact my voting record is Clinton, Bush, Obama , and Trump 3 times. So yes I’m an independent voter and agreed what’s been going on with democrats the last 4 years has soured me. We needed a stop to endless illegal immigration which we simply can’t afford and simply isn’t fair to taxpayers. That’s where i stand and it doesn’t make me a bad person or even a conservative, I just see it for what it is. Americans need a break. Funny how you call Trump a king but not Biden who blanket pardoned himself and his son. He also hid the fact he mentally could not run the country at the detriment to its citizens calling for your “emergency” appointment of Harris who yes was a terrible candidate. All presidents have displayed the ability to be kings but you only call out one.
The Tariffs are making it harder for a lot of US companies to keep their prices low. A lot of the natural resources and supplies we need for our favorite consumer products are harder to find within our borders.
The ICE Deportations are making it harder for US companies to keep their labor costs low. Groceries costs are way up thanks to that.
Trump has control every branch of government right now. He packed the court with extremist Judges. The has control of congress. He is using the Department of Justice to go after innocent political rivals. He has eliminated checks and balances from the US Government.
You are right. Trump isn’t acting like a King. He’s acting like a Soviet Dictator.
You’re talking about how they chose Kamala without Primary? She was VP. Biden was unfit . That’s how it works.
Politicians force us to pick our poison with insurance companies that will eventually stop coverage when we’re too sick. I wish they’d give us real freedom by giving us universal healthcare.
Politicians have fired half the government employees already thanks to DOGE.
The powers that be right now are calling any dissenting opinions “Fake News”.
The incumbent administration just took a lot of future democratic candidates off the ballot in Texas by Gerrymandering the congressional districts.
Luckily California is fighting back!
This rally was great. About 400 friendly people with hilarious and clever signs. Most all the passing cars honked with a thumbs up or a thank you. It’s so difficult for me to watch tRump in action. Go look up his posted video of him piloting a jet that dumps shit onto his citizens. Turns out, there were SEVEN MILLION OF US, you goon. I felt less overwhelmed by the state of our country when I was in that crowd. Thank you for that.
There are 77 million of us with better things to do than continue to piss and moan over a president carrying out exactly the platform he ran on. He’s president, get over it and try to figure out what’s wrong with your party so you may have a fighting shot in the next election.
Oh yeah, Republicans stayed so quiet when Biden was president…
They didn’t try to kill the VP and Speaker of the House or anything.
When we stay silent, Democracy dies.
Speaking of goons I wonder what you look like haha hahaha
Oooh, “Johnny Brown”. Good one!
Looked like a fun play date for the protestors. I would love to see more than just “resist” rhetoric and some actual policy suggestions. I’m good with a stronger economy, better law enforcement and lower taxes.
How about we stop letting politicians divide us? United we stand, divided we fall and they reap all the benefits. We are all that matters and they know it. Letting them win on either of the isle does nothing for us. Just a thought. Peaceful objection is American, BTW.
