Police search for suspect, ask residents to avoid Wood/Saddle Hill area

The Hopkinton Police announced Wednesday morning that they were assisting the State Police with the search for a suspect who was involved in a pursuit on Interstate 495.

The police advisory, issued at about 11:30 a.m., requested that individuals avoid the areas of Wood Street and Saddle Hill Road, both of which abut I-495.

UPDATE: The Hopkinton Police announced at about noontime that the State Police had cleared the local units while still working on I-495. According to WCVB, a trooper had attempted to stop a vehicle on I-495 North in Hopkinton for high speeds and erratic operation. After the pursuit was stopped, the car was found abandoned in the high-speed lane.
