Ramps at I-90/I-495 interchange to close overnight this week

by | May 17, 2026 | News

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation announced it will close two ramps overnight at the Interstate 90/Interstate 495 interchange in Hopkinton starting Monday.

The I-90 eastbound ramp to I-495 northbound will be closed Monday and Tuesday night between 11 p.m.-5 a.m. MassDOT also will be closing the I-495 northbound ramp to I-90 eastbound and westbound during this time period.

All work is anticipated to be completed by 5 a.m on Wednesday.

When the I-90 eastbound ramp (Exit 106) is closed, traffic will be directed to use I-495 southbound to West Main Street (Exit 54A) to reverse direction to I-495 northbound.

The I-495 northbound ramp (Exit 58) detour will route drivers to Route 9 westbound (Exit 59B) in order to reverse direction onto I-495 southbound and take the I-90 eastbound and westbound exit.

Appropriate signage and law enforcement details will be in place. Drivers should anticipate delays and exercise caution while traveling through work zones. Work begins at 11 p.m. on scheduled days and concludes at 5 a.m. the following morning.

For more information on traffic conditions, drivers can visit the Mass511 website, which features travel times and real-time traffic.
