I am writing to express my support of my friend Sravana Krishna for the Hopkinton School Committee.
My family came to Hopkinton for school. We became friends with Sravan Krishna’s family through classroom activities, and over time our conversations kept circling back to the same topic: our schools, and what could be better.
I am proud to support Sravan because he is genuinely passionate about Hopkinton’s schools and focused on solutions, not just problems. That mindset is visible across the town boards he already serves on, and especially in his role on Friends of SEPAC, where he advocates for special education students.
What excites me most is his willingness to bring proven models from other school systems to Hopkinton. We do not need to reinvent every wheel. We can study what is working elsewhere and adapt it for our students.
His strengths-based pathway for special education students is one of those ideas. Too often the kids are defined by what they cannot do. Sravan’s approach starts with what they can.
I trust Sravan to look out for every child in Hopkinton, including mine.
Hopkinton has a chance to elect someone who has already been doing the work for our schools. I will be voting for Sravan.
