Road resurfacing work set to begin Monday on various streets

Hopkinton’s Department of Public Works announced that crews will be removing and plating structures in preparation for road resurfacing work on a handful of street starting Monday (July 25) and continuing until Thursday (July 28). Dates may change due to weather conditions.

Affected roads are:

West Main Street — From South Street to just after the Price Chopper entrance.
South Street — From West Main Street to 710 feet south of West Main Street.
South Street — From 176 South Street to the Milford town line.
Westcott Drive — From Pond Street to 760 feet south of Pond Street (the old section).
West Elm Street — From Barbara Road to the dead end.

Work hours on West Main Street and South Street will be approximately 7 p.m.-5 a.m. Work hours on all other roads will be approximately 7 a.m.-5 p.m.

One lane of traffic will be open. Drivers should expect delays and seek alternate routes when possible.
