The Department of Public Works announced that construction on multiple streets in town begins next week.

Affected roads are: Chamberlain Street, Angelo Drive, Colella Farm Road, Nicholas Road and Whalen Road.

Structures will be lowered July 1-2 on Chamberlain Street, Angelo Drive, Colella Farm Road and Nicholas Road. Following this work, crews will stagger construction throughout the month.

Starting July 7, crews will start the process of reclaiming and grading the roads. The dates for that work are as follows:

July 7-10, Chamberlain Street
July 14-17, Angelo Drive and Colella Farm Road
July 21-24, Nicholas Road
July 28-31, Whalen Road

Following the grading work, crews will move on to workers excavating and installing asphalt binder course. The DPW has scheduled the following dates for completing this part of the road maintenance project:

July 11, Chamberlain Street
July 18, Angelo Drive and Colella Farm Road
July 25, Nicholas Road

On July 21, workers will adjust structures on Chamberlain Street, Angelo Drive, and Colella Farm Road.

Finally, the DPW will be installing ADA sidewalk ramps July 28-31 on Colella Farm Road and Nicholas Road.

Work hours will be approximately 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Dates are subject to change due to weather conditions. Residents are advised not to park in the affected streets, as doing so will interfere with project timelines.
