Ruth Geveke

Ruth H. Geveke passed away peacefully on Oct. 22 at the age of 93. Born in 1928 in Paterson, New Jersey, Ruth grew up in Wyckoff, New Jersey, and graduated Eastern Christian Academy. In 1950, she married John Geveke of Paterson, New Jersey. Ruth had been living in Hopkinton with her daughter and family for the past 15 years.

Ruth was predeceased by her husband, John Geveke; her brothers, Alan, James and John Ruit, and her sister, Dorothy Vriesma. She has two daughters, Cheryl Geveke of Stockholm, New Jersey, and Gayle and husband James Walker of Hopkinton. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Bryanna, Jack and Zachary Walker, all of Hopkinton.

Funeral services are being held in Wyckoff, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hopkinton Senior Center. Arrangements are being handled by Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton and Van Plaat Funeral Home in New Jersey.
