The second annual Hopkinton High School Inventathon is scheduled for Jan. 23-29. Registration is due by Jan. 21. All HHS students of any skill/ability are welcome. Winners advance to the Lemelson-MIT Massachusetts Invention Convention. …

The HHS Key Club is holding an ongoing food and clothing drive. There is a donation box outside Room C207. Each donor will receive a raffle ticket, with new prizes every week.

College honors: LaGoy earns Ph.D.

Alice LaGoy, a 2010 graduate of Hopkinton High School, received her Ph.D. in rehabilitation science, sports medicine and nutrition last month from the University of Pittsburgh. LaGoy’s thesis was titled “Cruisin’ for a Snoozin’: The role of sleep in resilience to simulated military operational stress.” …

Amanda Gollaher earned the Dean’s Award with Distinction for the spring 2021 semester at Colgate University, where she is a senior. …

At the University of Vermont, Katherine Graham (majoring in Chinese), Dana Rafikova (neuroscience), Landon York (psychological science) and Madeleine Holden (English) were named to the dean’s list for the fall semester.
