A dozen Hopkinton High School students participated in the HOSA International Leadership Conference in Indianapolis from June 17-21.

Arshia Tharakabhushanam, Hasika Chauhan and Yixuan Li, competing as a team, placed fifth overall in the Anatomage competition.

Li also competed in medical job-seeking skills.

Akshadha Ghantasala, Kashvi Gupta, Ishana Khurani, Aanya Mehta and Shruti Musani competed in a community awareness team event, presenting about endometriosis.

Aarshiya Lamichhane competed in medical law and ethics.

Priyanka Jagannath competed in health career photography.

Sreenidhi Rajesh competed in behavioral health.

Tejaswini Pitchuka competed in community awareness, presenting about leukemia. This team event included Hopkinton resident Sahasra Charkam, who attends the Massachusetts Academy of Math and Science in Worcester.

Tharakabhushanam received the Barbara James Service Gold Award for more than 250 hours of health-related community service

Chauhan received the Barbara James Service Bronze Award for more than 100 hours of health-related community service.

Vaagmi Shukla, who just graduated from HHS, competed in pathophysiology. Shukla and Charkam traveled with and served as members of the state HOSA board.

The students were accompanied by HHS science teachers Marjorie Billeter and Bridget Neely.

“It was a wonderful experience to share with incredible students,” Billeter stated. “They represented Hopkinton well, and I was so grateful to be a part of the HHS community!”

Andreola wins BrightBridge scholarship

Dylan Andreola, a 2026 Hopkinton High School graduate who plans to study nursing at Georgetown University, was named one of 18 regional winners of a BrightBridge Credit Union Scholarship.

Andreola was among more than 700 applicants representing 350-plus high schools in the area, according to a scholarship representative.

Hopkinton’s Jordan Lariviere earned a spot on Southern New Hampshire University’s president’s list for the spring semester. …

At Saint Anselm College, Bridget O’Connor (criminal justice major), Charlie Petruney (business administration with management concentration) and Dylan Ruff (business administration with management concentration) were named to the dean’s list. …

Lex Kaye, who is majoring in kinesiology and Nordic studies, earned a spot on the dean’s list at St. Olaf College. …

At Champlain College, Maeve Watson, a psychology major, was named to the president’s list as well as the trustees’ list. …

Rocco Horgan was named to the dean’s list at the University of Alabama. …

Kathryn Dion graduated with a B.S. in marketing from the College of Charleston.
