Schools Notebook: Local collegians thrive

The University of Massachusetts recently announced its dean’s list for the spring semester, and it includes a number of Hopkinton residents. Among those recognized were Morgan Allen, Molly Andrews, Julia Annenberg, Hayden August, Kendal August, Elise Blackstock, Antonio Bullon-Puckett, Ethan Champlin, Alan Chen, Jordyn Cheverie, Jake Chirco, Fletcher Clark, Nathan Foster, Natalia Gomez Donate, Kamron Haghighi, Tyler Holbrow, Zachary Holbrow, Ellora Hoyt, Amanda Kelley, Devin Kelly, Alexandra Lazarov, Allison Leeret, Tobin Lock, Justin Mak, Dawson McMillan, Ben Morey-Beale, Samuel Morningstar, Rachael Nordling, Robert Pagliuca, Taylor Parduhn, Kyle Perkins, William Quinlan, Calvin Rodman, Danielle Sullivan, Eric Sullivan, Austin Summers, Furquaan Syed, Maya Vumbaca and Emily Whelan. …

The University of New Hampshire’s spring dean’s list included 15 Hopkinton residents. Lia Brossi, Peter Mitchell, Eliza Westbury and Samuel Lozeau were recognized with highest honors, Alexandra Lee, Anthony Zeissig, Isabella Houley, Ivy Gogolin and Galen Graham earned high honors, while Adara Groman, Philip Restifo, Brendan Cross, Cole Stukel, Olivia O’Connor and Mollie Mahoney received honors. …

At Emmanuel College’s 100th commencement exercises, Megan Canfield received a Bachelor of Arts in a double major of international studies with a concentration in sustainability and global justice as well as sociology with a concentration in social justice and inequality. She graduated cum laude and with distinction in her field of study. …

At Fairfield University, Brigid Belger, Andrew D’Alleva, Alexandra Graeber, Cecily McNamara and Garret Morrissiey were named to the dean’s list, while Belger, Lily Rancatore and Kate Welzel received their degrees at graduation. …

At the College of Charleston, Caitlin Dean, majoring in psychology, was named to the president’s list, while Kelsey Eddy, undecided on her major, and Charles Nealon, majoring in marketing, were named to the dean’s list. …

Esther Klinger and Matthew Klinger were named to the dean’s list at Muhlenberg College. …

Kelsey Breslin, a sophomore majoring in musical theatre, was named to the dean’s list at the University of Tampa. Also at Tampa, Emily Cain graduated with a Bachelor of Science in psychology. …

At Bryant University, senior Ted Torres and sophomores Dennis Field and Jacqueline Zeigler were named to the dean’s list. …

Gabriel Lopez, a criminal justice major with minors in political science and pre-law, was named to the dean’s list at Merrimack College, where he recently completed his junior year. …

Freshman Alannah Miller was named to the dean’s list at Ursinus College. …

At Roger Williams University, Korbin Johnson, Amelia Pickard, Linnea Dean and Tyler Zanini were named to the dean’s list. …

Resident honored at Pomfret

Hopkinton’s Nathan Kikonyogo was named to the honors list for the spring 2022 term at Pomfret School, where he just completed his freshman year at the independent high school in Promfret, Connecticut.
