Steve Simoes is retiring from his position as Hopkinton High School baseball coach, the school announced Wednesday.
Simoes coached the Hillers for 19 seasons, recording more than 300 victories, five Tri-Valley League championships and three sectional titles. He led the team to the Division 2 state championship game in 2019 and 2021.
He was inducted into the Massachusetts Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame this year.
Simoes, a teacher at HHS, also had stints as the school’s football coach and softball coach.
