by | May 28, 2025 | Featured: Sports, Sports

The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association released brackets for the postseason, giving Hopkinton High School teams their schedule for the opening rounds.

HHS boys tennis, at 18-0, is the top seed in Division 2. The Hillers will host No. 32 seed Whitman-Hanson (7-12) in the first round Thursday at 4 p.m. Whitman-Hanson edged No. 33 Bridgewater-Raynham, 3-2, in a preliminary round match Tuesday.

Girls tennis (13-5), seeded 20th in Division 1, visits 13th-seeded Franklin (13-4) on Thursday at 4 p.m. in the first round.

Girls softball (17-3) is seeded second in Division 2. On Monday, the Hillers will host the winner of Friday’s preliminary round game between No. 31 seed Shepherd Hill (16-4) and No. 34 Longmeadow (12-8).

Boys baseball (14-7) earned the 15th seed in Division 2 and will host No. 18 Whitman-Hanson (12-8) on Sunday at 6 p.m. in the first round.

Girls lacrosse (11-7) is the No. 17 seed in the Division 2 tournament. The Hillers will play at No. 16 Methuen (15-4) on Friday at 5 p.m.

Boys lacrosse (9-9) is seeded 23rd in Division 2 and will visit Tri-Valley League foe Westwood (13-4), the 10th seed, on Monday at 6:30 p.m.

The girls golf team finished fourth at Wednesday’s sectional championship at The Haven Country Club in Boylston. The Hillers — who went 12-3 during the regular season — were a stroke behind third-place Nashoba, just missing qualifying for a spot in the state championship. Freshman Gigi Linton was the Hillers’ top performer, securing an individual spot in the state championship.

The unified track and field team competed in the state meet at Natick High School on Wednesday.
