On Nov. 7 at approximately 8 a.m., Hopkinton officers were investigating a stolen vehicle at 19 Hayden Rowe St. While speaking with a male suspect who was visiting the address, the suspect became combative and attempted to flee. Officers on scene were able to negotiate with the subject and at 9:07 a.m. the subject surrendered to officers without further incident.
Ryan Conroy, 31, of Worcester was taken into custody by Hopkinton Police officers. He was charged with two counts of assault and battery on a Police Officer, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and resisting arrest. One officer was injured during the altercation and he was being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
A female resident of the address was arrested on unrelated warrants.
