TCMC installs bridges on trail behind Center School

by | Apr 5, 2022 | News

The Trails Coordination and Management Committee recently finished installing bridges on the first section of the trail behind Center School, resulting in a 1.2-mile walking/running/mountain biking loop.

The trail work was funded by a $7,500 grant from Athletic Brewing (a non-alcoholic craft beer company) under its Two-For-The Trails grant program, through the 26.2 Foundation. Work was done as a volunteer effort by Carlos Henkle, a local resident and builder.

“When complete, the full trail will extend to Elmwood Farm at Ash Street, but lots of volunteer effort will be needed to complete that work!” shared TCMC Chair Peter LaGoy.

Individuals who want to walk the trail should enter behind Center School and follow the green arrows/trail markers to the intersection with the Ridge Trail. Then follow the orange markers on the Ridge Trail to the right. Then in the valley, take a left back toward Center School, following the green markers.
