Terene Micciche

Terene A. (Tarte) Micciche, 67, of Hopkinton passed away Jan. 2 surrounded by loved ones after a valiant and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Audrey (Evans) Tarte.

Terene was retired from her work as an emergency medical technician (EMT). She was a three-time cancer survivor and a devout Christian. She was active in the Democratic Party, serving on the Democratic Town Committee for several years. She was a volunteer with the American Cancer Society as well as many other organizations. Terene was an avid cook and gardener whose gigantic sunflowers were often featured in the local newspaper. But her most treasured role was that of being a grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter, Sarah, and her husband, John, as well as her grandson, Andrew, her brother, Robert, and several nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Due to COVID-19 gathering restrictions and her family’s concern for the well-being of family members and friends, a celebration of her life will be held at a future date when it is safe to gather again. Services are under the care of the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home of Milford.

In lieu of flowers and other gifts of condolence, please consider making a donation in Terene’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
