by | Nov 22, 2018 | Obituaries

Theresa “Terry” Ann Holden, 81, of Hopkinton, formerly of Stow, passed away Oct. 27, 2018, at Beaumont Nursing and Rehabilitation in Westborough. Born in Czechoslovakia, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Salaga) and Michael Mitro. She was the wife of the late Dale C. Cook and former wife of the late Robert L. Holden.

Terry loved traveling, especially to warm places and sought out a beach at every opportunity. She considered Marco Island, Fla., a second home. She loved cooking for friends and family, gardening, playing tennis and decorating. She loved crafts like macramé, decoupage, and was a skilled seamstress, often making her own dresses and Easter outfits for her young daughters.

Terry was a long time employee of Digital Corporation. She was also a proud fan of her Boston teams, especially the Red Sox and Celtics.

Terry is survived by three devoted children, Chris Holden of Lunenburg, Jennifer Holden of Upton, and Suzanne Rucinski and her husband, Peter, of Bolton. Theresa dearly loved her eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Visitation was held Nov. 3 at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton, followed by a graveside service at Evergreen Cemetery in Hopkinton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition, P.O. Box 202, Franklin, MA 02038 or mbcc.org, or WBGH, 125 Western Ave., Boston, MA 02134 or WBGH.org, or Fund for Nature Mass Audubon, 208 South Great Road, Lincoln, MA 01773 or massaudobon.org.
